    * discovering the animation mode and auto keyframing of Blender – amazing how close it is from my (very very past) experience with 3DSmax when i was at fine art school in Reims… ouch … some 10 years ago…

  9. Visual sources

garden snowniture in souflondon, originally uploaded by dcharny.

walking back home in fresh snow this morning aftre a drop at the binder shop on Clerkenwell this morning, i was thinking about generative process for furniture and sculpture. Shapes were all softened – it would have been nice to get a frame based animation of the snow reshaping objects. daniel took this picture this morning – i like it!

It would be nice to experiment with moulding shapes; throwing some ideas here: generative process, successive moulding, evolutive shapes

  11. i love that kind of moments…

when hours equals minutes… make me think of planet alignment and cosmic orders – but much simpler.

  15. Emoticons: Smileys and Evil Face – 600px

    icon_smile.jpg

    * i always thought this smiling emoticon and his twins had an evil face. Enlarged it feels more obvious.
** there’s an option in wp that used to be be selected by default: auto-convert smileys; this options used to be the first one i unchecked – that was getting seriously on my nerves. I suppose it went off by default and i quietly forgot about it.
** i like the story behind the first smiley by Harvey Ball (he never made a penny beside his original fee – no trademark what-so-ever) also the Scott Fahlman’s [link edited and corrected] early proposal for the adoption of emoticons page is worth a check.

  18. This could be the stage for a story

    * Recently i read Spook Country by William Gibson – an intriguing story revolving around geo locative art, shipping containers, spies and mafia by the master of the genre. While i was reading, i felt like my reading of english really improved when i was finally able to start to appreciate the descriptions of scenes – letting me dwelve in my own imagination, visualising the space and imagining it further.
** To deepen this visualisation of the space i started accumulating images found on flickr, on specific topics.

  19. The Foundry

The Foundry, originally uploaded by Matt Brown esq.

    * i like the light and colour on this picture – it has been taken at The Foundry, Great Eastern Rd London. It’s the place bought by Bill Drummond and Gimpo (former KLF pop band from the 90’s). Before being The Foundry, it was a bank – now it is an art gallery, a performance space (poetry) and a pub.

  20. Nice Meeting You

Very nice meeting a couple of people yesterday – we had a go at the openings on Vyner street where Martino and Francis at their exhibition (quite interesting collaboration and mix of different universe) and then we had food all together: Adrian who has some work in Sang Bleu, Philippe from Select Arrange, Andrea (website in the comment?) Maxime Sang Bleu, Amandine, Oliver and Rory.

    IMG_8983.jpg
Waiting for the meal, Maxime told us about the magazine, and some of his geeky tricks – above: the fake CMYK pages, or how to be serious about magical skills in color processing and printing. Pictures on the magazine by Billy Boy and Lala.

    * amusing: googling for Adrian website we came across an Adrian Wilson (same name) who happens to have a very similar domain name as http://www.interior-photography.net/ from Amandine.
