    * i like the way an ip can be associated to a human being – in this example i spotted pierre browsing a couple of pages on r-echos (for work while he should be on vacation…), and i used the ip to country, just to make sure it was really him…
** with Pierre we have this obsession of Electronic Presence.

On our trip back, the second day – we came across a small church; people from the church were selling tea and delicious strawberry cakes, obviously we had a break here:

they apparently do this every sunday from 2pm to 5pm – so, if it happens in the future you go in the same area – pay them a visit it’s much worth it!

It makes monthes if not years that i wanted to buy a tent – things went faster since the announcement of the burningdork and even faster since we planned to get out of london for weekends. Finally i choosed a cheaper tent (well a couple of pound cheaper) so it was the perfect occasion to (finally) put my hands on one of those wonders called gps… so after some reading, this morning, i went with Amandine (who did the illustration on top) to get my brand new gps unit – a gecko 201. I managed to connect it to the powerbook via the keyspan usb 2 serial (macs have not anymore serial port since ages – making me feel even older than i am now, weird) and tested it with a couple of software. so far this amazing thing is absolutely fantastic and i will post later about the stuff i might discover, software, hacks, uses …
